In a stunning turn of events at Suncorp Stadium, the Dolphins delivered a commanding 30-12 victory over the Penrith Panthers, marking a significant moment in the 2025 NRL season.

Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow, affectionately known as “The Hammer,” was the standout performer of the night. He secured a hat-trick, including an electrifying 80-meter dash in the final minute, bringing his tally to six tries in his last four encounters against Penrith .

Despite a completion rate of 69% and seven errors, the Dolphins showcased their attacking prowess. The back five amassed 719 run meters, with Jake Averillo contributing 142 meters and five tackle breaks. Daniel Saifiti added muscle with 137 meters from 14 runs .

The Panthers, once a dominant force, now face their fifth consecutive loss, a first since 2019. Nathan Cleary’s uncharacteristic errors, including a pass straight into touch, epitomized the team’s struggles. Dylan Edwards, returning from injury, was a bright spot with 240 run meters .

The Dolphins aim to continue their momentum against the Melbourne Storm next week. The Panthers, seeking redemption, will face the Roosters at Allianz Stadium.
